We really enjoyed Bishop's! It's the very picture of a small family owned and run local watering hole, and you can tell the Bishops do it out of love and loyalty for their community. We're in the process of moving to to Pittsburgh area and we've been checking out neighborhoods we might want to live.
The food was excellent! We had the mushroom and Swiss burger, a steak sandwich, house made chips, and onion rings. The burger was juicy and perfectly cooked to order. The roll used for the sub was perfect.
A group of local men held court at the bar, getting to know and looking out for one another in that gruff, rust belt way.
It's small, dark and intimate inside. Vinyl on both the booths and table tops. No taps, just beer in bottles and mixed drinks. The kind of place you go for good food and to be around kind people.
Awesome folks and good food with decent prices. Tried it for the first time and was happy with everything. Good French onion soup and tacos, the service was fast and the food freshly made. Clean and well kept with beautiful wood top bar. I will go back again.
Nice little place with a hometown vibe. Everybody is chill, relaxed, slow paced & friendly. I can only speak to lunch time, but looks like things can get popping after work towards the end of the week. A bit overpriced for the quality, quantity & presentation.
First time I stopped for dinner I drive past every day Food was great people are very friendly fast service I will return
I’m a pretty established local at this watering hole. No draft beers, but the prices on ST 2x bottles and cocktails make up for that.
Turbo Turkey is a good sandwich with homemade chips for $9. Good turtle soup, too.
I love all the bartenders, and on Thursday nights, the jukebox is free. They’ll always play the Penguins games on one screen with Jeopardy on the other.
Great frequent post-work stop.
Good food, service, and atmosphere. We stopped in on a Thursday afternoon and the bar was pretty busy for the size of the place. The server was fast and attentive despite working alone. Our food was fine. Worth a try if you're in the area.
Waitress was very kind, but food was very sub par. They charge $7 for 4 little mozzarella sticks! And the chef should be wearing a beard net, but he wasn’t. We found one of his beard hairs in the salad we ordered. The Italian sub I got was ok, but nothing to write home about.
Good things coming small packages. Nice clientele. Lots of activities
